About 250 Christian students enthusiastically took part in the two day retreat conducted by the BOSCO Youth Services at St Francis de Sales College, Electronic City, Bangalore on 1-2 July 2011.
'The Power of the Word' being the theme a lot of emphasis was given to the word of God and sacraments. Gospel music, bible games, inspiring talks and interactive sessions made the youngsters take an active part in the spiritual animation and come a little closer to Jesus. 'It was a fruitful retreat and I was inspired by the talks and the presentations' said Ms. Oluchi a BCA student from Nigeria. "I enjoyed the singing and the friendship of the fathers" said John a BBM student from Mysore.
The spiritual animation was ably conducted by Fr. Johnson and Fr. Anil Dsa. Dc. Shajan and Dc. Michael from KJC and Preetham, John, and Dickson of SFS College rendered their valuable service towards the success of the retreat. The retreat began with the praise and worship on Friday and came to a close on Saturday with a solemn youth Mass.
